Prepaid for WooCommerce Subscriptions adds prepaid plans to your WooCommerce Subscriptions products. Customers choose whether to pay for each delivery as usual or pay upfront for a longer period at a better rate — while you keep shipping on the regular schedule.
Variable subscriptions can’t do this: a “one year” variation ships once a year. Prepaid plans separate billing from delivery — the classic magazine model of charging for a year and shipping every month. You can offer prepaid plans alongside the regular subscription, or make the product prepaid-only.
- Unlimited prepaid plans per subscription product, priced by percentage discount or flat price.
- Three shipping charge options: pay per shipment as usual, pay all shipping upfront, or a custom flat rate per plan charged at signup.
- Two product-page layouts (radio boxes or a dropdown) plus customizable pricing-string and cart templates with variables.
- A prepaid sequence panel in wp-admin shows each customer’s delivery schedule; cart, checkout, and account pages show subscription status.
- Standard subscription emails are enriched with prepaid details — deliveries left and the next renewal date.
Limitations: works with simple subscription products only (no variable subscriptions), and customers cannot switch between regular and prepaid plans — they would cancel one and sign up for the other.
